 Hello Carbuffs!
My name is Jody, I live near Seattle, WA. and I am the one and only girl that is an owner/driver of our local Seattle 6speedonline group. I'm also active in PCA, Autocross, Track days, and social rallies.
Joining the PCA was a piece of cake. They are the friendliest, most warm and welcoming group of people I could have ever meet. I had only owned my 2001 Boxster for 2 weeks when I did my first autocross. I came in 3rd place in my class, and since then, they've created a monster! I'm officially a "conehead"! I've since won my P2 class several times, and have purchased myself a VERY cool Icon helmet! Pink, black, and white, of course! The guys all have to get a laugh out of the fact that not only am I into cars, mods, and driving, but I'm the epitome of a true girlie girl! I LOVE pink!!! I have the pink/black new Piloti's, white and pink Adidas Goodyears, and black and pink Puma's!
Now, on to my most FAVORITE group, 6speed. Now, this was an ENTIRELY different type of group as far as driving, mods, and class of cars in general.

 When is Enough Really Enough?
How many times have you purchased a car and said to yourself, ?This is it, the last one for a long time.? Or, ?After I add the wheels and lower the car it will be perfect, no more modifications.? I ask this question because I know I have fallen into the trap many times in my life and I can?t get out.
I tell myself that the car is perfect right out of the box, I would be crazy to change the wheels or the stock ride height but within days of the purchase, the cars warranty is probably gone due to changing out springs for a lowering kit and adding +2 sizes to the wheels and tires. Now I am a hardcore tuner. I love to change everything on a car but when is it enough?
You see, when I take my car apart I have a few things on my mind. The most important thing is the value of the car. Now trust me, at a 100K +, there is no ?Value? in the type of cars I choose to tune yet I do not like pressing the destruct button on every dollar that has been spent. I try to make sure that if I needed to, that everything I did could be changed back to stock without any damage to the original components. Wheels and tires can be replaced as can suspension components.

 Elite Idiots...
We all know a few people who fit the following description. They get a used mid 90?s automatic Civic throw on some rims, bleacher seat wing, coffee can muffler and think that their car is tricked out and suddenly super fast. Well I like to call them ?Ricers?; don?t get me wrong if you want to go all show no go by all means it?s your right. The thing I really don?t get is those who try and race them and think that the spoiler is actually functional. Another thing, why at 16 your parents should be paying for everything on your car? Get a job and go ahead and pay for that yourself. These kids that get their cars all riced out and go start street racing which endangers the community most parents often cherish.
Who is to blame for this phenomenon? I would have to say movies like the Fast and Furious franchise. I mean seriously the movie is incorrect on certain things but I am not going to go into that. After the first movie came out all of a sudden I saw a whole fucking flock of these riced out civics trying to do what they saw in the movie.
